From Cyprus, with love

28th Birthday celebrations with my love.

We're back! Cyprus treated us with open-armed-love and kissed us with the sweetest rays; I spent my 28th Birthday in finger-locks with my love, overlooking the purest crystal waters, amongst the joy and warmth of family...pinching myself for such blessed and simply sweet days, people and love. I'm now finding my feet again on home ground, getting back into the brilliant stuff filling my days - including your blogs.

Here's a snoop into our stunner getaway; from beach parties to mountain views, political disrupt, to a precious insight into generations of family history.

 

 

For anyone that knows the political situation in Cyprus, seeing the Greek flag flying with pride (on every street corner, at every Tavern, on boats, balconies and street side graffiti) filled my senses with the passion and patriotism that lives on - left me speechless.

Thank you to those who left wishes for our engagement - you filled my heart with so much warmth. It's a strange but wonderful place, this blogging world; most of us have never met but have shared our journeys and gotten to know one another in amazing ways over years of story-telling-posts. Before I set off into the European sunsets for a couple of weeks, I've got a few things to share.

1. BBC shows off the latest must-have gadget instead of an iPad...a pack of A4 paper.Oops!
2. Hands down, this is the most fun you will have in your office today - playing dot-to-dot!
3. More (polka) dots and beautifully styled ladies at Milan Fashion Week.
4. This Apple Tart looks mighty fine. Apparently the maker of this tart is the Apple-Tart-Queen according my go-to blogger for all things cake at Cupcakery blog.

Well kiddos, I'm feeling like I've been swinging around with party balloons all week. I'm ready to scoot off to the sunsets of Cyprus with my...fiance! This is something sugary-sweet I'm still getting my tongue around (the word fiance, not Cyprus sunsets)! Plus, if you hadn't heard, I said YES to my incredible man as our love-lock was sealed with a stunningly-perfect digit accessory.

I'll see you on the other side of 12 days! Be good and keep the light, bright n' happy stuff in your days.

She Said YES

Someone once said "be with someone that requires you to grow, makes you forget your problems, holds your hand, likes to kiss, appreciates art, and adores you."

And so I said YES (whilst sliding on my stunning Mociun fine gold digit accessory), to the one that inspires me to be better, perches me on cloud 9, takes me by the hand, smothers me with forehead smooches, loves art (including my amateur attempts), and showers me in his love by the bucket load.

Hey, so the weekends here! Make good plans, stick to them and get some smiles into your hours.
Not that you asked, but I've set myself up for a pretty sweet weekend:
1. Much missed hugs from my guy - he's been away this week and it's driven me to giddiness for when I fix my eyes on him next!
2. The obvious stuff like ballet training...counting down to the final exam of the year. It's kind of a biggie.
3. Coffee and organic goodies with one of the sweetest girls I have by my side.

What I've been up to

I've felt a little out of the blogging loop lately and there's pretty good explanation why; I've been a tad busy. The other thing is, a new iphone has meant instagram is now working for me again - I've been following you all on that! Follow me.

Without much more ramble, here's what I've been up to.

1. Tea and Debussy's Passepied until midnight hours.
2. Dreaming about pedicures! My ballet exams are on; 1 down, 1 to go. Thought I'd insert my battle wounds for proof, dead toenails and all.
3. Spending time with friends that energise me. In pretty spaces.
4. Thank you for the beautiful leather, Nutsa Modebadze.
4. Ring-a-ding-ding. Accessorizing my digits.
5. Lunch runs (when I can make it). Krystal from Village, you'd be mighty proud!
6. Figuring out how I'm wired.
7. Practice makes perfect (and for a healthy, happy body). You know you can get your own basic "ballet" workout here or here.

Cheeky devil

Here's a secret. This handsome note is blown up and stuck in my workspace - gets my giggle happening every time I take a cheeky look at it. Best mood boost if I ever saw one. Try it.
